RIBA Isle of Wight – Young Designers Award 2013

Every year the Isle of Wight Society Conservation Awards and RIBA Awards are held on the Island. This year we got the children of the Island involved – RIBA Isle of Wight branch organised a children’s design competition to raise the profile of architecture.
We asked for creative and fun designs for a new use for Appley Tower and a bridge linking it to the children’s playground. The entries were exhibited at the Awards Ceremony and all short-listed entries received two tickets for the ceremony and were published in the County Press.
